Fire Cupping

Fire cupping is a traditional therapy used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to promote healing and improve circulation. During the treatment, a practitioner briefly uses heat to create suction inside a glass cup, which is then placed on the skin. The gentle suction draws the skin and underlying tissue upward into the cup, helping to stimulate blood flow, release muscle tension, and encourage the body’s natural healing process.

This therapy is commonly used to relieve muscle stiffness, back and shoulder pain, and physical fatigue. By increasing circulation and helping to remove stagnation in the body, fire cupping may support faster recovery from muscle soreness and improve overall relaxation. Many patients feel a deep sense of relief and looseness in the treated areas after a session.

After treatment, temporary circular marks may appear on the skin where the cups were placed. These marks are not bruises and usually fade within a few days as circulation improves. Fire cupping is often used alongside other therapies such as acupuncture or massage to support overall wellness, reduce tension, and promote balance in the body.
